According to experts, the wi-fi network in question had been created onboard. No irregularities had been seen after security procedures had been carried out, and all passengers had been brought back on the airplane once boarding had restarted.

Customers can create personal wi-fi networks on devises like mobile phones and name these what they wish.

Turkish Airlines said that all 100 passengers had been brought back onboard the flight, but didn't say whether authorities had identified the traveller who had created the network.
