According to ANAC, the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil, between January-December 2015, LATAM Brasil had 36.7% of domestic, and 78.5% of international market share in Brazil in terms of passenger-kilometers flown, making it the largest carrier in Brazil, though it is not the official flag carrier of the country.

LATAM Brasil

Before the takeover, TAM was the largest airline in Brazil and Latin America. It is headquartered in Sao Paulo, operating scheduled services to destinations in Brazil, along with international flights to Europe, North and South America. Company's shares were traded on Sao Paulo Exchange and New York Stock Exchange as "TAM". Before the merger with LAN, the carrier closed its capital, transferring the shares to LATAM Airlines Group. In August 2015, however, it was announced that the airlines would rebrand as LATAM, with a single livery to be applied on all airplanes by 2018. The carrier withdrew from Star Alliance, and on March 31, 2014 joined Oneworld.
