VIDEO: Five Dead After Chartered Plane Crashes in Mumbai

A chartered plane crashed on the terrace of a building in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area on Thursday, June 28. The aircraft crashed while landing at Mumbai Airport, close to Sarvodaya Hospital in the area.

Right after the accident, fire fighter and police personnel were rushed to the spot. 5 persons have died in the crash - the pilot, 3 passengers and a pedestrian. The plane previously belonged to Uttar Pradesh government which sold it to Mumbai’s UY Aviation after the plane "had met with an accident in Allahabad."

The plane crash took place at around 1:35 p.m. The aircraft was flying to Juhu airport when it crashed close to Ghatkopar (a busy suburb in eastern Mumbai). It was identified as VT-UPZ, KING AIR C90.
